March 7, 2016---Deerfield Beach:

Been quite awhile since we've been to the beach!!!  I remember saying we'd go about once a week.  This is the 2nd time we've gotten there this year!  Only live about 13 miles from the beach, but the traffic just gets to you after awhile.  But it was definately time to get back there!  Only waded in the water, but it was a beautiful day for taking a picnic lunch and eating on the beach!  It was a bit chilly.  The wind was really blowing.  I believe the water temp was 75, but it was a bit rough and they had sea pest flags up and rip current warnings were out.

 There were quite a few surfers there to watch today.  A couple weeks ago this area was shown on the news with thousands of reef sharks migrating.  Wonder if they're still migrating through?!  They also just filmed some of a new Baywatch movie here.

 a sea pest I don't want to rub up against!!!  This guy was the largest man a war I've ever seen.  Yet, it got washed up onto the beach and we watched several people almost step on it oblivious to it being there.  Everyone walks around looking where they're going instead of what's at their feet.  We watched it pulsating for quite awhile.  It was still alive when we left.  I was going to let the lifeguard know about it, but would have had to climb the steps of the tower, so we just left.

Sure going to miss coming here when we move, too!!!!
