4-11-16--- celebration at the taco truck in Lake Worth and then riding along Boynton Beach:

Time to celebrate!!!  After 15 showings over the weekend, there were 4 offers on the kids' house (3 full price!).  There were suppose to be another showing today and 2 tomorrow, but the kids' Realtor told the other realtors there were multiple offers and a decision on who they're going with would be announced  later today.  Their realtor and good friend, Robert, was checking the finances and such of the prospective buyers and getting back to the kids later today.  So we took a little break and ran off to Lake Worth with Angie to hit a taco truck that we like.  It's a bit of a drive---almost to West Palm Beach, but it was a nice day for a ride.
after eating our tacos, we headed towards A1A through the town of Boynton.
Passed the interesting City Hall building.
Heading up over the inter-coastal.  Managed to get by before the draw bridge went up.
Views of the inter-coastal from A1A.
lots of big houses and yachts line the road and inter-coastal.
One of the average houses.
Now and then we'd get a peek of the beautiful Atlantic Ocean.
Some places A1A was even through a tunnel of trees.
We saw a parking lot and marina on the other side of A1A from the ocean, so we decided to pull in and see what's there.  To my surprise, it was free parking (at least when we were there which was on a Monday afternoon).  They even have a walkway over to the ocean.  We headed over to gaze at the ocean for awhile.

Angie said this is a pipe connected to the inter-coastal for when it floods.  I bet it would be interesting to see it with water rushing out of it.
It didn't look like the best of areas to play in the water---looked dirty out a bit.  But it was still pretty.
It was pretty rough, too.
AFter hanging out at the beach for a little while, we decided to go check out the inter-coastal.  There we spotted this guy.
 and lots of boats.
This one had me confused!  It has a bunch of holes in it!
There was even a nice picnic area with a little playground and beach.
Looking back towards the marina.
 looking towards the play ground
looking back towards the beach and picnic area.  A very interesting stop!
Saw a green heron here, too.
I can't imagine driving on the streets of South Florida in one of these!!!  I fear for my life in an SUV!
More interesting architecture as we were making our way back to I-95.
Interesting art work
more interesting artwork.
 a little amphitheater.
more art and architecture.
Back in our neck of the woods---Angie dropped us off at home where we watched tv for awhile.  It happened to be home opener night for our Cardinals, so we decided to go up to Lefty's and have some wings and watch the game.  The Cards whipped up on the Brewers---12-1.
It was almost 7:30 when we left Lefty's, so I suggested we go down the street to the park near Angie's house.  I knew they had a pond there and thought it might be a good place for sunset.  Ken dropped me off and I wandered around the pond.
Not much of a sunset today, but it was a pretty walk.

There are a lot of these Muscovy ducks around S. Florida.  Even in our parking lot at the apt. complex.
At least the clouds to the EAst lit up a bit.

And that pretty much does it for another day in Paradise.
