Dec. 19, 2015---move to Gleneden Beach:
Last morning at Depoe Bay.  I looked outside and saw a brilliant rainbow, so took another walk to the ocean side of the resort.  I was surprised by how many rainbows we saw this trip!
We happened to be there when the tides were extraordinarily high.  I don't know if that affected the surf, but it was crashing!  Loved watching the surf explode over the cliff here in Depoe Bay.  In the summer we often see resident whales off shore here.  This was actually the beginning of the migratory whale season, but with all the white caps, we weren't able to see any whales.
One last picture from our balcony---we were amused that it looked like a chicken's head.
This was the day we moved about 4 miles north to Gleneden Beach Worldmark.  When we all decided to go to Oregon, I asked which resort everyone preferred.  Gleneden won out.  At first I was a bit disappointed, but did enjoy walking on the beach and being in a smaller resort.  I booked our unit so far out that we were able to get 1 of the 2 - 3 bedroom  units.  We took the in suite master bedroom with the king bed.
By default, Tim and Faith ended up with the bedroom with 2 twin beds.  I like that Worldmark will put them together if you ask them to.
Angie and Josh picked the queen bed.
From the entrance, the bedrooms were to the left and the living area was straight ahead.
The kitchen was well laid out.
Other than the rather small tv, the living room was nice, too.
The view from our room.  Loved being so close to the heated pool and jacuzzi!
We didn't do much this day.  Went shopping at the big Outlet Mall in Lincoln City.  Had lunch at La Roca in Lincoln City---very good!  Got my boots from Payless Shoe Stores---best $20 I spent this trip!  Sure they'll come in really handy back in South Florida.
We also hit Goodwill in search of Christmas decorations and "Dirty Santa" gifts.  Did find some ornaments & ribbon.  Angie and I ended up going to Rite Aide for a 4' tall fake Christmas tree for $10.  Back in the condo she decorated it and it was festive all season.

done!
We also anxiously awaited the arrival of Tim and Faith from Knoxville.  They landed in PDX about 7pm, hit VooDoo Doughnuts and Ugo's on the way down, and arrived about 11pm.
a sampling of the doughnuts.  They were very good!
After a little doughnut snack, it was time to hit the sack.
