It's been awhile since we've made it to Loxahatchee for sunset. There actually haven't been many really pretty sunsets around here lately---too cloudy. The weatherman says we've had a much rainier Nov. then usual and our first couple days in Dec. should meet the average for the whole month. Anyway, it looked like there was potential for a nice sunset--although many times I think that and it's a dud or I think it's going to be bad and it's great. I still haven't figured out how to tell when there will be a great sunset by looking at the cloud cover.
Being Monday, we decided to go to an early dinner/late lunch at Lefty's and get our $5 burger and $.50 wings. Figured we'd have plenty of time to make it to Loxahatchee from there. We would have if we hadn't had such a SLOW waitress! By the time we paid and were out, the sun had already set or was very close to setting. We took off to Loxahatchee anyway.
Racing to Loxahatchee down Coral Ridge drive. Even the skies away from the sun were turning pretty colors.
We watched this bird fish for quite awhile.
Sure be glad when the days are longer again!
