11-18-15 a night in the 4 bedroom penthouse at the Wyndham Palm Aire in Pompano:
There are 4 Wyndhams in Pomapano with this being the only one that isn't on the beach. I understand they run a shuttle to the beach, but we usually don't go to the beach when we go here. This one is closest to where we live and is usually easier to get reservations for. So when I saw there was a 2 bedroom available with an upgrade to the 4 bedroom penthouse for a night for half the points of the 2 bedroom (our VIP advantage)---I decided why not! My plan was to hang out at the pool and jacuzzi for the evening---and I did. Unlike our complex, the pools here are heated. Our VIP status also means we're suppose to be able to check in at 2 instead of 4. We showed up at 4 and it still wasn't available, so they gave us a drink coupon for their bar. I got a way too sweet pina colada and Ken got a beer.
We'd been in their 4 bedroom penthouses before, but had always been in the check-in building, Fountain Palms. This time we were put in the Sabel Palms building.
I was surprised to see that the rooms were different then in the Fountain Palm building. The kitchen in this unit was bigger. Both are really nice. Although I do prefer the pool between the Areca Palm and Fountain Palm building, so had a bit farther to walk to the pool.
The units have 2 master suites basically like this.
Large living area---sort of nice being in a place almost as large as our home back in ST. Louis after living in a 1 bedroom place for the last 6 months.
view from our patio at night.
another picture of the living/kitchen area.
the huge kitchen
the atrium near the elevators with one of the pools outside the building.
sunrise from our room.
living room --- I love the coffee table/4 ottomans piece of furniture.
Living room again.
It was a short stay, but a nice one. I did use the pool and jacuzzi. Didn't even go out to dinner! Just had left over pizza that we brought with us.
