June 29-- Red Reef Park:
We have been here before and knew the snorkeling wasn't good, but I keep reading that it is. So I thought maybe we missed something and decided to give it another try. It made for a nice beach day anyway, even though there's a fee to get into the park of something like $18.I suppose if it wasn't so rough around the rocky outcropping it would probably be pretty good snorkeling there.
As it was, this time we did manage to find 3 small underwater rocky areas near shore and they had quite a few boring colored fish by them.
We also saw LOTS of baracuda! At least 20!
We were there at low tide. I'm thinking this area might be good on a really calm day at high tide.
One final look at the only outcropping.
Not the best snorkeling, but any day at the beach is a great day!
